Default Do you read magazines that are related to your job?

If so do you benefit from them and how do you benefit from them? Or are they a waste of time?

Yes, I read trade magazines related to work. But I do not read all the related trade magazines out there or all the trade magazines I receive. Often they are sent free, unrequested.

I like to read and absorb all kinds of knowledge.

There are many resources in trade magazines. You can benefit from what you read in a trade magazine if you are looking for new equipment, supplies, especially - trends, who is moving up - staff, who is failing, what works/doesn't work and so on..

I am a recruiter so sometimes I read The Recruiter, but sometimes it is so boring that I just can't get through it.

It's good if you want to know what's going on in the industry and what your competitors are up to, but this is only really relevant if you work in a business development role or if you're looking for a new job. I don't and I'm not.

I don't think it's overly useful to be honest.

I work in a pharmacy, and we have mags coming in all the time. Some of them are very interesting! I look foward to the next one! They really do help you out and give u advise for dealing with customers etc!
So, no they are not a waste of time!

99.9% of them are a waste of time.

I work on a help desk so I read Razzle. That way, as well as speaking to them on the phone, I can look at photos of c*nts too.
