the back of a magazine? A while ago I tried to get a picture sent to my phone by texting the number on the back of a magezine. It didn't work but I keep getting text messeges from them. I have only just realised that it is costing me credit every time I recive a messege. I don't know how to stop it. The most recent messege reads - " free msg: wanna see us wash the car topless? txt PACK to 80122 for my 2 hot vids. 1st 100 get EXTRA vid, 150ppm. output txt stop. ME 08452252244 " I can't work out from this what I need to do to cancel my subscription because I don't understand text language. But I tried texting things like "stop" or "stop. ME" to the various numbers in the text but I soon got a messege back saying that the sending had failed. I don't want to tell my parents because I'm afraid of getting into trouble. What should I do? My credit is going down the drain!!

I'm in Spain and I have the same problem , I have somehow activated a game that I'm being charged about 5euros a month for. I have phoned the English department to try to cancel it but they gave me another number to phone and they only speak Spanish .I paid an interpreter 10euros to phone it and she said she has no idea what type of Spanish they were speaking , so I phoned the English department again, I told them that I wanted to cancel my phone contract and was told it would cost me 140euros because I have only had the contract for 2 years . I thought I had only signed the contract for 1 year.

Get a new sim card.
You can find them at your local phone shops or even post office for around £3. My friend once signed up for a service like that and no matter what she did she couldn't stop getting the texts. (She initially tried to purchase a game from a magasine back cover.) She got a new sim card and it obviously stopped.

Phone the company you are with, whether it's vodaphone, orange etc... Tell them the problem you are having and ask them to change your mobile number for you. They should be able to do that for you. I used to have anonymous calls. So I phoned up my operator and asked for a mobile number change. They changed my number that day. I hope this helps.
