Print is dead. Long live print…
Print is dead. Long live print… -
What’s next magazine arrived on my desk a while ago, but I’ve been so busy reading it I forgot to put it up here. It is aimed at magaholics like myself, and produced by the lovely people at Sappi papers, who, in their wisdom, have decided to commission John Brown to publish this publication. Dream job! Obviously, Sappi paper is used throughout – different stocks, finishes, laminates, foil blocking – everything to make you fall in love with print, as if you hadn’t already. There are interviews with editors and designers telling of the moment they first came across magazines. From Jeremy Leslie’s passion with the NME to Nick Mrozowski’s introduction to Colors. If they’d asked me I’d have probably cited the Design Council’s Design magazine (circa 1980-82) as what made me think I could do this for as living. I even ended up working for them a few years later. Visit the website to have Sappi send you a copy. http://www.wemakemags.com/wp-content.../delicious.png http://www.wemakemags.com/wp-content...tumbleupon.png http://www.wemakemags.com/wp-content...mages/digg.png http://www.wemakemags.com/wp-content...s/facebook.png http://www.wemakemags.com/wp-content...ges/reddit.png More... |
