Halfords Free Kids Helmet Offer in December

MoneySavingExpert.com has just posted the following message with the title Halfords Free Kids Helmet Offer in December.

Did anyone else in the UK see an offer in Halfords in early-mid December, on the web site and instore, for a free helmet with any kids bike? I was certain I had seen both and reserved a bikje fully expecting to have a free helmet only to be told there was never such an offer in store and it may have been a web only offer. Yet on the website there is no trace of this offer ever having existed. I have googled and found one other person mention this offer on another board but I wondered if anyone out there had purchased a bike and got a free helmet or if I have imagained the whole thing?
