Help - Item arrived from amazon ruined

MoneySavingExpert.com has just posted the following message with the title Help - Item arrived from amazon ruined.

I ordered books from Amazon and they arrived in a royal mail 'sorry for the damage' bag. When I opened it the books were totally ruined. Who do I ask for a refund - amazon or royal mail?
