Default Subscription problem

MoneySavingExpert.com has just posted the following message with the title Subscription problem.

I would be very grateful if someone could give me some advice on where I stand in the following situation. I buy my brother a 6 month audio CD subscription for his Birthday and Christmas, included in the 6 month subscription is a subscriber bonus (usually a free CD or some other limited edition item), I have been doing this for the past two years always a 6 month subscription and always receiving the bonus. Last month I placed another 6 month subscription order, the order list included a bonus CD however when the first instalment arrived there was no bonus CD, I queried this via email and I was told that the subscriber bonus was only available to those who placed a 12 month order? This was not stated when I placed my order and I feel that they have mislead me by listing the bonus as part of my order. I have revisited the website and I cannot see anywhere that states that only 12 month orders receive the subsciber bonus. Can anyone help me out with this, when I complain I want to be as informed as I can. If anyone has any advice or links to consumer rights pages would be very much appreciated!
