Redeeming nectar points

MoneySavingExpert.com has just posted the following message with the title Redeeming nectar points.

Hi I have 11500 points and I wanted to get a couple of books and a magazine subscription, but when I used the loyalty calculator to convert the points into real money I am paying well over the amount for the books for example I can buy the book online for £13 but it's 4000 points for the book on Nectar which in real money is £21 :eek: Do I shut my eyes and just redeem anyway as it's not real money and will be saving me a few pounds?
