MagCulture.com Has Just Posted the Following with the title padCulture 20.04.11



With American Express spsonsoring this months Virgin Project app, the current (May) issue of the US Wired iPad app is now available free too, courtesy of sponsorship from Adobe – just the type of thing Adobe should be doing to help kickstart interest in their DPS tablet tools. A shame, then, that they didn’t go for the UK Wired app, with its simpler page navigation.




Above left: the US app uses the confusing ‘stack’ system so users navigate left and right to access different stories and down to read deeper into the stories. the resulting grid of pages is highly confusing for the user.

Right: the UK edition uses the same production tools but runs pages consecutively left to right. Simpler and better.

American GQ has just relaunched its app using the Adobe system too, and has some nice uses I’ll share when I’ve had a closer look.
