A new magazine event for London launches later this month. magCulture joins with Stack in hosting Magazine Club. Come and flick through the latest issues of your favourite independent magazines and hear a couple of talks by some of the people behind them. The first date is April 27, full details here soon.

The Newspaper Club announces a US service in collaboration with Nick Mrozowski, late of Portugese newspaper i.

ASME announce their US National Magazine Award shortlists. The usual suspects dominate.

D&AD reveal the magazine and newspaper shortlists from their 2011 awards, but cunningly keep them locked inside a registration-only part of their site. The rather sparse selection features just three pencil nominations: two for New York and one for Bloomberg Business Week and a further seven ‘in book’ winners: Chef’s Special; Elephant; IL; Colors; Monocle; Rubbish and UK Wired.
