Get a new sim card.

You can find them at your local phone shops or even post office for around £3.

My friend once signed up for a service like that and no matter what she did she couldn't stop getting the texts. (She initially tried to purchase a game from a magasine back cover.)
She got a new sim card and it obviously stopped.
