P. Diddy Throws Away His Cash
Posted on 02. Feb, 2011 by Louisa.
Some might say he has more money than sense. And some might say he throws his money around.
Actually, some might just be spot on as he Diddy exactly that at a recent gig for fans in the Us, whilst the rapper promoted his new album ‘Last Train To Paris’.
The generous star, real name Sean Combs, splashed his cash last week as he threw $1 million into a crowd gathered in Miami as he partied with other celeb’s to celebrate his mate Rick Ross’ birthday who features on the Diddy Dirty Money’s new album, along with Justin Timberlake, Drake and Usher to name but a few. P Diddy has promised London a free gig some time this year as he travels to promote the album and upcoming singles from it.
The new album has already been highlighted as a ” cinematic masterpiece ” (Gerrick Kennedy, Los Angeles Times) and will no doubt bring some promising new music to the forefront of the charts.
We’ll bet his fans were happy as the album is available for download now; but we’ll bet they’re not quite as smug as the fans in Miami that scrabbled around to pick up a few thousand dollars each!

Blue Rumoured to Be Re-forming the Band for Eurovision
Posted on 01. Feb, 2011 by Louisa.
I think lots of us remember the former boy band Blue – the members haven’t exactly hidden away for the past few years with some of the members remaining in the forefront of reality TV, pantomimes across the UK and music shows.
The decision to enter the Eurovision competition was decided by the BBC and announced on Sunday 30th January – but is the move “reckless” – as Daniel Glatman, the bands former manager, shattered the boys excitement?
A BBC spokesman supported the decision though, highlighting the fact that an “established” and “credible” act was needed this year.
And some will enjoy the fact that a reunion is on the cards, ageing they may be but the talented band, made up of Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Anthony Costa have sold over 8 million records and perhaps its a decision that will help us get past last place.
Well, laugh some may but this could well be a fantastic choice for the band and get the ball rolling with some new singles being released if they are successful.
Will we win? I think we’ll have to wait and see.

Peter Andre & Elen Rivas Find Love
Posted on 12. Jan, 2011 by Louisa.
Dancing on Ice contestant Ellen Rivas has been wooed by somebody.
After finally announcing in April last year that she was officially ‘over’ her ex, premiership footballer Frank Lampard, Elen Rivas appears to have found love not with her dancing partner, Lukasz Rosycki but with Mysterious Girl pop singer Peter Andre.
Spanish model Elen has been dating Peter for just two months, but it certainly looks like love from where I’m standing.
Peter has announced that he loves to spend time with Frank Lampards ex-fiancee, who is the Father of her two children but is said to have announced that he doesn’t want her to play Mummy to his kids and rub Katie Price’s nose in it like Alex Reid did to him when they first met.
The couple, who have already introduced their children to each other, have sparked rage with Peters ex-wife who apparently wasn’t too happy to hear the news that they were dating, apparently devastated it must have come as a shock as her own relationship appears to be in crisis.
Perhaps Elen could be “The One” for Peter and perhaps there just may be another famous wedding this year… although the jury’s out on whether this is a match made in heaven or a repulsive relationship at Heat Mag

Ring Papped – Lily Allen Fuels Marriage Rumours
Posted on 12. Jan, 2011 by Louisa.
Is Lily engaged?
Set to Wed boyfriend Sam Cooper?
Is she already married?
The web is rife with rumours about Lily’s relationship following a snap she published on the web showing her wearing a diamond ring on the third finger of her left hand.
Not only one ring was clear though, the picture showed a pair of rings – one, a diamond studded metal band, shown on the same finger, fuelling gossip that she may have already married.
Sam is said to have proposed on Christmas Day whilst on holiday in beautiful Bali, where they stayed in a luxurious suite overlooking the Indian Ocean. Getting hitched, OR married, just six weeks following the extremely sad loss of their baby the couple are no doubt in serious love with one another and Lily is said to want to start trying for another baby some time soon.
Other news featuring Lily and another celeb, Elizabeth Hurley, are in trouble and could be investigated for celebrity endorsements on Twitter. Liz clearly promoted Estee Lauder products and Lily Allen the Playstation Move and following the girls product promotions, the IPA legal team posted a warning containing details of the Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Office of Fair Trading.
Careful girls; we want to be congratulating Lily on a great 2011 not being ashamed of our London best!

Lady GaGa Gatecrashes Semi Precious Weapons Gig And Leads Fans To Strip
Posted on 16. Dec, 2010 by Marie.
There’s something of a history between Lady GaGa and the Semi Precious Weapons; a good history that is, and GaGa has a tendency to gatecrash Semi Precious gigs. She crowd surfed her way across Lollapalooza last year when Semi Precious were playing and she got up on stage and gave a 14 minute impromptu drum solo while the band were playing at the Islington Academy 2 last night in London.
The Semi Precious Weapons are set to support Lady GaGa during two of her gigs at the O2 Arena in London which start tonight and they were obviously getting some practice in although they were playing at quite a different venue. The Islington Academy 2 is definitely a more intimate stage than the O2 but clearly GaGa didn’t mind that.
Lady GaGa is as well known for often ludicrous outfits (that ridiculous meat dress being a prime example) and outlandish persona as she is for her singing and it seems that the whole thing is contagious. As she tripped off her jacket to play the drums in her bra, many of the female fans in the crowd followed suit according to the Sun and stripped down to their underwear for the rest of the gig.
When it comes to throwing on a cameo appearance, though, bagging Lady GaGa is a fairly big deal. There aren’t too many bands that could pull that off we don’t think.

Cheryl Cole Got Most Complaints During X Factor Series
Posted on 16. Dec, 2010 by Kate.
The too raunchy dance scenes from Rihanna and Christina Aguilera on this weekend’s X Factor final may have sparked some serious controversy with just over 1,00 complaints made to regulator Ofcom but it was Cheryl Cole that received the most complaints throughout the series. It wasn’t for her bad miming. It wasn’t even for her decision not to put Gamu through. It was, in fact, for backing out of her commitment as a judge and failing to choose between her two acts and send one home.
Ofcom have yet to make a decision as to whether they will start a full investigation into the dance routines and outfits from the weekend but it has been reported that ITV received 1,000 complaints with Ofcom receiving a similar amount. The complaints were largely about the apparently sex fuelled dance scenes but the outfits were unlikely to have helped.
Rihanna appeared singing with Matt Cardle but later sung her hit wearing little more than her underwear. However, that paled in comparison to Christina Aguilera’s performance with sexily and scantily clad backing dancers.
It has also been revealed that Simon has given all of the final acts a record deal. Boy band One Direction, girls Cher Lloyd and Rebecca Ferguson, and winner Matt Cardle have all been given a recording contract with Cowell. Rebecca was making the most of it, too, as she was spotted out and about looking at new houses to make the most of her new lucrative deal.

Paul McCartney Rocks An Exclusive Crowd At The Apollo
Posted on 15. Dec, 2010 by Marie.
Paul McCartney has become somewhat accustomed to playing massive arena gigs and concerts in front of crowds of tens of thousands of adoring fans but when he took to the stage at the Apollo in New York last night it was quite a different crowd that he had to please and the trimmed down two hour set had the desired effect with the likes of Howard Stern and Val Kilmer singing along to some of the Beatles classics. They may be over played under other circumstances but when Sir Paul is singing them in what is essentially the size of a front room to most of the guests they take on a whole new life.
The concert was held by Sirius XM which was celebrating its 20 millionth subscriber, which is an impressive achievement, but not quite as impressive as getting Paul McCartney to sing at your anniversary (of sorts) bash. Keith Richards, Ron Wood, and Alec Baldwin were just a few of an extremely long list of celebrity names that packed the theatre and the whole atmosphere was clearly as enjoyable for Macca as it was for his esteemed guests.
As he walked on stage, McCartney touched the Apollo log which every performer does as a means to furnish themselves with good luck for the show. He also took a minute at the beginning of the show saying that he wanted to soak in the atmosphere before embarking on a blistering performance of some of the Beatles most famous and most loved tracks.

X Factor Receives More Than 2,000 Complaints
Posted on 15. Dec, 2010 by Kate.
The X Factor has been no stranger to complaints and controversy this series. The whole Gamu Nhengu thing was blown ridiculously out of proportion in our opinion, with Cheryl Cole even receiving death threats and being accused of being racist while the usual fixing scandal and numerous social networking campaigns were also trotted out to ensure that if there were ever any real music fans watching then they probably turned off following the boot camp stages. Well, the series might have ended with Matt Cardle as the runaway winner but the controversy is yet to disappear.
Ofcom, the regulatory body that deals with people who seemingly have nothing to do with their time but dream up things to complain about, has received more than 2,000 complaints about the skimpy and apparently too racy outfits that Rihanna and Christina Aguilera wore during the live Sunday night show. With an audience of 19 million viewers for the live final weekend, the X Factor is certainly one of the biggest shows on TV and according to Vivienne Pattison of Mediawatch UK this makes them a role model that people look up to.
According to Pattison and, it would seem, 2,000 viewers the outfits and the simulated sex in the routines were too much for a pre-watershed show. While the dances and the outfits were a little risque in parts you have to wonder how many complaints came from viewers who were disgruntled over their chosen finalist not winning the competition.

Sonisphere To Include Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, And Anthrax
Posted on 13. Dec, 2010 by Paul.
In what is likely to be the biggest and most impressive heavy metal lineup most of us will ever see, Metallica have confirmed that they will be playing next year’s Sonisphere gig and they will be joined by Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax as part of what is being called the Big 4 Tour in which all of the bands are touring the whole of Europe together. This is the first time that the four of them will play the same stage at the same event and lovers of metal new and old will be clambering for tickets as soon as they go on general sale.
Metallica played Sonisphere last year and the event was considered a massive success and with all four of the bands currently releasing new music it’s the ideal time for them to put something like this together. Biffy Clyro and Slipknot have also been confirmed for the event with numerous other bands being rumoured. One thing is for sure, though, if you’re into metal of just about any variety then you’re going to want to be at Sonisphere.
The Big 4 Tour is already under way and last year it amassed an incredible 500,000 fans watching during the tour. Sonisphere is the only UK gig that has been booked for next year’s leg of the tour so it may well prove to be the only opportunity that most of us will get to watch the four biggest names in heavy metal perform at the same gig.

X Factor Winner Matt Cardle Now Battles For Christmas Number One
Posted on 13. Dec, 2010 by Kate.
Throughout this series of the X Factor there has been arguing, bitching, and a constant social networking threat. There were supposedly a number of campaigns aimed at keeping show cabaret act Wagner in way beyond the date his talents should realistically have allowed. There were also numerous occasions this series when judge and mentor Cheryl Cole made it into the newspapers for all the wrong reasons. There were arguments between contestants and apparently arguments between performers and their mentors.
However, one thing that reigned above all other news was the campaigns on Facebook that started months ago and have built up a serious head of steam. These campaigns aim to ensure that the X Factor winner is once again prevented from hitting top spot. Last year’s Joe McElderry was beaten to the Christmas number 1 spot by Rage Against the Machine following a similar campaign and there are a number of campaigns this year aiming to do something similar.
One campaign, named Cage Against the Machine, have signed up numerous big name stars to record 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence. To be accurate, it’s actually a cover of a song which was titled 4 minutes 33 and there isn’t complete silence but there is nothing more than ambient noise.
Another campaign is attempting to get Bird is the Word to number 1 while yet another campaign was started this week geared towards landing Biffy Clyro the top spot. Matt Cardle is covering a Biffy song for his winning release and it could go head to head against the original.
