7 Months Pregnant – Devastated Amanda Holden Tragically Loses Baby
Posted on 08. Feb, 2011 by Louisa.
The TV star and Britains Got Talent judge has sorrowfully lost her baby.
At seven months pregnant, Amanda Holden was reportedly taken into hospital after the baby seemed to have stopped moving. On Tuesday last week, West Middlesex Hospital Isleworth confirmed that the baby was stillborn, a deeply devastating loss for Amanda and her husband, Chris Hughes, who had a miscarriage last year and are proud parents to their beautiful daughter, Lexi.
Whilst Amanda and Chris grieve for their loss, there are already rumours that Amanda will return to judge the BGT show. The audition rounds of the show have already been filmed and Newspapers are already beginning to print reports about her with The Sun printing:
“Amanda Holden will return to Britain’s Got Talent despite the loss of her unborn Son.”
So whilst the couple come to terms with their loss and Doctors investigate to determine the cause, friends and celebrities alike have posted hundreds of messages of support with pregnant friend and mother of one, Myleene Klass, tweeting:
“I’m so very sorry. Please God watch over your family and your little angel in Heaven.” Pregnant Emma Bunton, and James Corden whose fiancee is also pregnant also, were a few more offering condolences and support. It should be such a personal time after a miscarriage or stillbirth, so have the celebs overdone the tweets? We suppose that public support shouldn’t be slated just yet…
Amanda and Chris had with-held confirmation that they were pregnant until only 4 weeks ago, and must have felt that she was over the most dangerous first trimester, and nearly past the second at 6 months.
Whilst such a traumatic time it is, and how difficult it will be to return to our screens, we’re sure that we’ll see Amanda back to work soon.

Will Pregnant Victoria Beckham Pose Naked for US Vogue?
Posted on 08. Feb, 2011 by Louisa.
Pregnant with her fourth child, Victoria Beckham – former member of girl group The Spice Girls and now fashion designer – is said to be planning to pose naked for USA Vogue Magazine.
The Editor of the mag, Anna Wintour, is said to have considered the proposal and accepted it as a good idea.
Should the plans go ahead, Mrs David Beckham will pose naked at the shoot with the front page reserved for the resulting images.
This is a fairly unusual step for Vogue; the last naked cover in June 2009 featured Russian Supermodel Natalia Vodianova, with the issue’s articles heavily based on ‘Body Talk’. The luxury magazine whose current features cover street chic, falling in love, Vogue beauty and people & parties.
So what can we expect from Victoria on Vogue’s front cover? Anna knows just how to transform something into a unique fashion inspired piece so the shoot will no doubt be ultra inspired and we’re likely to see features in the issue that cover pregnancy style, beauty, skin care and fashion – we think!
Whatever issue of US Vogue we see Victoria in will be equally as deluxe as the rest of Vogues cover shoots have been and we’re very excited about waiting anxiously to see the results!

Facts for Flirty Fun in February
Posted on 04. Feb, 2011 by Louisa.
As Valentines day approaches, us romantics may be looking for flirting facts for February fun.
Whist plenty of us think we’re doing okay handling singledom, for those dating and looking to meet potential partners it’s certainly worth taking a look at some flirting techniques. I for one think my once-fabulous flirting techniques might be going stale so off I went on search of some decent tips.
Not everyone will like Cosmopolitan Magazines’ flirt alert facts, but I think they pick out some pretty good points and they’ve put facts together in a pretty fresh new way.
Here are a couple worth taking in:
Tip 1: There are a curious five different ways to flirt – traditional; sincere; playful; polite; physical.
Well thats something new to me, combine them all and you might be in for disappointment.
Read on…
Tip 4: Men spend longer looking at girls lips than taking in our smouldering eyes or luscious locks. Tip 11: Fairly amazing that such a high amount of men don’t care about the age of the girl they’re flirting with, a huge 83% My favourite, Tip 18: Flirty food and passionate pizza – apparently the ‘Big Cheese’ at Pizza Express have taken on a conversational expert who is training some of their guys to promote flirting and conversational techniques. I love the different factual angle Cosmo has taken on this piece, pure brilliance – it’s make good reading and hopefully help a few of us romantics avoid cheap chat up lines, using body language instead. Head for Valentines day full of confidence, ‘read Cosmo’s 20 facts about flirting’.you might be in for disappointment. Read on…

Blue Rumoured to Be Re-forming the Band for Eurovision
Posted on 01. Feb, 2011 by Louisa.
I think lots of us remember the former boy band Blue – the members haven’t exactly hidden away for the past few years with some of the members remaining in the forefront of reality TV, pantomimes across the UK and music shows.
The decision to enter the Eurovision competition was decided by the BBC and announced on Sunday 30th January – but is the move “reckless” – as Daniel Glatman, the bands former manager, shattered the boys excitement?
A BBC spokesman supported the decision though, highlighting the fact that an “established” and “credible” act was needed this year.
And some will enjoy the fact that a reunion is on the cards, ageing they may be but the talented band, made up of Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Anthony Costa have sold over 8 million records and perhaps its a decision that will help us get past last place.
Well, laugh some may but this could well be a fantastic choice for the band and get the ball rolling with some new singles being released if they are successful.
Will we win? I think we’ll have to wait and see.

Virtualisation Creates New Business Hype
Posted on 12. Jan, 2011 by Louisa.
Through 2010 virtualisation and cloud hosting was the talk of industries across the UK.
With the economy becoming a little more solid, businesses in 2011 through 2012 will be looking more and more at new initiatives for money saving, with higher spending budgets for operating systems, servers, hardware, and software.
Virtualisation is creating a buzz. It’s a flexible way for businesses to work; it’s greener so healthier for the environment than physical servers; reduces operating costs therefore can save energy, provided the entire server is shutdown (not just a percentage of it); improves risk of downtime so improves chances of rapid disaster recovery; and even saves space – but is it just a new ‘trend’?
Upgrading systems to a virtualisation infrastructure really isn’t just hype in our book, and many others’. It brings businesses large and small, on-demand services with direct access to the companies software and communications whilst remaining secure.
Allowing companies to expand with minimum expenditure is why the amount of business changing their infrastructure to a virtual one is set to rise over the next couple of years.

Ring Papped – Lily Allen Fuels Marriage Rumours
Posted on 12. Jan, 2011 by Louisa.
Is Lily engaged?
Set to Wed boyfriend Sam Cooper?
Is she already married?
The web is rife with rumours about Lily’s relationship following a snap she published on the web showing her wearing a diamond ring on the third finger of her left hand.
Not only one ring was clear though, the picture showed a pair of rings – one, a diamond studded metal band, shown on the same finger, fuelling gossip that she may have already married.
Sam is said to have proposed on Christmas Day whilst on holiday in beautiful Bali, where they stayed in a luxurious suite overlooking the Indian Ocean. Getting hitched, OR married, just six weeks following the extremely sad loss of their baby the couple are no doubt in serious love with one another and Lily is said to want to start trying for another baby some time soon.
Other news featuring Lily and another celeb, Elizabeth Hurley, are in trouble and could be investigated for celebrity endorsements on Twitter. Liz clearly promoted Estee Lauder products and Lily Allen the Playstation Move and following the girls product promotions, the IPA legal team posted a warning containing details of the Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Office of Fair Trading.
Careful girls; we want to be congratulating Lily on a great 2011 not being ashamed of our London best!

Charity Times magazine reports breakthrough in healthcare provision
Posted on 25. Mar, 2010 by Emily.
A feature published today in Charity Times magazine reports that the Government has opened up its NHS preferred provider policy in order to allow charities and social enterprises to compete with commercial providers of health care.
Three pieces of guidance were published today: the revised PCT Procurement Guide, Commercial Skills for the NHS, and the revised Principles and Rules for Cooperation and Competition.
Charity Times magazine reports that the first of these, the revised PCT Procurement Guide states: “The commissioning process, including any form of procurement, should be non-discriminatory and transparent at all times, including neither favouring nor excluding any particular provider” and “the procurement process should not give an advantage to any sector (public, private, third sector/social enterprise)”.
The other pieces of guidance also state that the procurement process within the NHS must not discriminate against third sector providers.
Charity Times magazine has also reported the following statement from Care Services Minister Phil Hope: “Third sector organisations are involved in so many areas of healthcare today, from frontline services right through to advocacy and support for service users, patients and carers.
“The Strategic Partner Programme plays a key role in supporting third sector organisations to work with the NHS to deliver better health and social care services for everyone. I’m delighted to announce five new strategic partners and look forward to working with them in future.”

Conde Nast Traveller magazine reveals best chocolates in Belgium
Posted on 23. Mar, 2010 by Emily.
Conde Nast Traveller magazine has named the Mary chocolate shop in Brussels as Belgium’s finest.
The article explains that Mary has been situated on the smartest street in Brussels, the Rue Royale, since 1919 and has held a Royal Warrant since 1942. The shop is a destination in itself, thanks to the decor, which looks “a bit like the inside of a huge Faberge egg” thanks to its dramatic rococo style and Louis XV furniture.
The chocolates themselves are still made from their original recipes, according to the article in Conde Nast Traveller magazine, and use only cocoa butter not cocoa powder. The cocoa beans are sourced from Papua New Guinea and Peru, and there are no artificial colours or preservatives in the chocolates, which are created in a workshop in the suburbs of Brussels. Tours and chocolate making courses are both available at the workshop, which can be reached by bus or Metro.
The author of the article jokes that readers of Conde Nast Traveller magazine shouldn’t be put off by the fact that George W. Bush bought some chocolates from Mary’s when he was visiting Brussels. Subscribe to Conde Nast Traveller magazine.
