Amy Winehouse Makes Surprise Return Performance At Local Pub

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard much about Amy Winehouse, and it’s certainly been a while since we heard anything positive about the troubled star. However, following three drug free years the star believes it is time to start staging her comeback and even asked the landlord of her local pub if it would be OK for her to get up and sing at a charity night gig.

Not since 2008 has Amy Winehouse got up and given a full performance of her music and it was 2006 since the release of Back to Black which saw the star really hit the headlines. Since then she has a well documented string of problems with drugs, alcohol, and men.

Apparently, according to Hello Magazine, the star said that giving up drugs was easy. She woke up one morning nearly three years ago and decided she didn’t want to do it anymore and hasn’t touched drugs since then.

She is currently working on a follow up to Back to Black and perhaps to help reintroduce herself back to live performances she asked at a charity night at her local pub whether it would be OK to get up and perform for the crowd. The landlord of her local pub obviously didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity and the star sang six songs including some new material that has yet to be released. Apparently the performance was amazing.

Cheryl Cole Receives Death Threats After Dropping Gamu Nhengu

The whole turbulent affair over Gamu Nhengu being dropped from the X Factor in favour of Cher Lloyd by Cheryl Cole just won’t go away and ludicrously, the Geordie singer is reported to have received death threats following her decision.

Gamu Nhengu had been the favourite to win the contest before the mentors’ final three were announced but amid speculation that X Factor bosses had stopped Cheryl from picking the 18 year old because of a work visa issue; a rumour which has sinec been denied, there has been a massive storm over the singing sensations omission.

We know people get a little fanatical over programs like the X Factor and some even take it as a personal assault when their favourite isn’t chosen but death threats is just a positively ludicrous over-reaction for such a matter.

There have been reports that next week’s “shock” twist in the program will be a fifth group made up of the best acts to have been dropped from the boot camp stages so far. As such, and amid the media flair up over Gamu, she remained second favourite to win the competition although further rumours have now spread denying that she will be given a second chance.

Coleen And Wayne Rooney Take 2nd Honeymoon To Ty And Save Marriage

Whether it’s a bid to save her marriage or just a means to ensure that husband Wayne doesn’t disappear with another escort while she’s away, Coleen Rooney has taken Wayne on a working holiday to Prague which the couple are said to be treating as a 2nd honeymoon and a means to help repair their damaged marriage.

It took a lot of effort to find anything other than reality TV news this morning, but in the shape of Coleen and Wayne Rooney we have a couple that are quite capable of filling most magazines on their own – they certainly bag the column inches between them.

Wayne is unable to play for Manchester United and is also likely to miss the next England match as he has suffered an ankle injury and so the couple have taken the opportunity to spend some time together in Prague. Apparently, they aim to be completely alone together and remember why they fell in love with one another.

Also in Heat Magazine is a report on Russell Brand’s upcoming nuptuals which he has described as being completely mundane. He said that it will be just like a normal wedding with a first dance and all of those things. It will, apparently, be beautiful and wonderful but it will also be mundane.

Most people, including Heat Magazine and ourselves, were expecting something considerably more flamboyant and frankly a little bit mental so we wouldn’t be too surprised if they have a trick or two up their sleeves.

Cheryl Cole Admits To Nerves For This Years X Factor

Cheryl Cole is attempting to make it 3 out of 3 in this years X Factor having won the previous two series with Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry. However, having had a lot of time off after contracting Malaria the Girls Aloud singer said she is more nervous than ever having missed so much of the series already including the boot camp stage and many of the first auditions. However, despite that, she has watched her finalists on video and has arguably the strongest category in order to help ensure her win.

Cheryl has been given the girls category and has managed to cause controversy already by selecting Cher Lloyd as one of her finalists despite the 17 year old being unable to sing because of a soar throat.

According to OK Magazine, the Geordie mentor has said that she enjoys watching all of the auditions and the boot camp stage because it provides her with the information she needs in order to choose the stars most likely to win the competition for her. By missing out on large amounts of the process this year, Cheryl has allowed nerves to creep into her judging process.

Cheryl will be represented in the final stages by Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel, and Rebecca Ferguson though many believe that Cher Lloyd is a dangerous choice because although she showed unique and obvious talent in the very easly stages she is seemingly unable to complete a song without breaking down. The singer, who looks as though she models herself on Cheryl, was one of the favourites to win the competition before her illness.

Louis Walsh Tells All While Showing Off Miami Pad In Hello Magazine

Pretty much every snippet of news and gossip in the magazines at the moment is reality TV based as the X Factor finalists were chosen and Strictly Come Dancing gets off to a popular start. Louis Walsh clearly doesn’t want to miss out on the spotlight as he is in Hello Magazine not only showing off his new minimalist pad in Miami but also telling his story on the other judges, whoe he thinks will win, and what he thinks of Dannii Minogue.

Despite their well publicised early differences in the show, Louis and Dannii apparently now get on really well and have even formed an unofficial pact against Cheryl and Simon. He says that he has discovered Dannii has a really good side and that she truly cares about the contestants under her charge.

Louis also describes Simon as being a big influence in his life but goes on to joke that Simon grooms himself to death and that he’s looking younger with every series. Simon is, apparently, the judge that works the hardest of all of them but this doen’t mean that he is the most driven and the most ambitious.

The Westlife manager says that Simon works too hard to be the most ambitious and that without doubt that accolade must go to Cheryl Cole, who having recently returned to judging following her bout of malaria has caused some controversy by choosing Cher Lloyd as one of her finalists.

James Corden To Be A Dad And Maybe A Talent Judge

The seemingly ubiquitous James Corden, star of Gavin and Stacey and arguably the only decent thing about England’s World Cup campaign, has proudly announced that he is to become a Dad.

Corden has been dating girlfriend Julia Carey for over a year after being introduced by his flatmate and rumours started recently that the pair were expecting their first child together. In answer to these rumours, Corden confirmed to the Sun newspaper that he is indeed to become a Daddy.

The star said that they were both over the moon about the impending arrival of a newborn baby and that they really couldn’t be any happier. To celebrate, the pair went to posh diner Nobu according to Marie Claire magazine, and were joined by David Walliams.

That’s not the only piece of big news that James Corden has been hearing about himself either. Following Piers Morgan’s departure to The States to take over Larry King’s chat show position, there is a hole to be filled in the Britain’s Got Talent judge’s panel and Corden is being rumoured to be that replacement.

Following the massive success of hilarious Gavin and Stacey, Corden has enjoyed success in various different formats. He reached number 1 with Dizzee Rascal performing a cover of the song Shout. He was in Doctor Who (that’s the biggie isn’t it?), had hiw own World Cup show, interviewed most of the World Cup team while performing comedy sketches with them and could now be the latest celebrity judge on the vast plethora of reality shows on TV.

Piers Morgan Gives Away US X Factor Judge Names

It’s not really a great surprise when you read the names anyway but apparently Piers Morgan has accidentally let it slip that the two new judges for the US version of the X Factor will be Cheryl Cole and Nicole Scherzinger.

Cheryl Cole has been touted for the US show for a while now, especially as the Geordie star wants to break the US and sees the X Factor as the perfect way to do it. Nicole Scherzinger also proved very popular as Cheryl’s replacement in the UK version of the reality show

Nicole Scherzinger Thinks Cheryl’s A Very Lucky Girl

Nicole Scherzinger has said that Cheryl Cole is a very lucky girl if she is indeed dating Derek Hough. The Pussycat Doll was interviewed by Now Magazine and in the interview she said that Derek is like a little brother to her but that she believes he would make a brilliant boyfriend especially if he is as loyal to his girlfriend as he has been to her.

Cheryl has certainly had a torrid time of things over the past year or so. She first discovered that footballer husband Ashley Cole had cheated on her and subsequently divorced him; following the split, dancer Derek Hough was on hand to comfort her throughout the ordeal.

As part of the recovery process, the pair went on holiday to Tanzania and, unfortunately, while out there, Cheryl contracted malaria. Initially, it was believed that she was suffering from severe exhaustion but after collapsing and being rushed to hospital it transpired that she had in fact caught the deadly disease and was seriously ill as a result.

Again, Derek was on hand, keeping a bedside vigil for the star while she completed the long road to recovery from the life threatening illness. Rumours about the pair being romantically linked have not really left the press and Nicole, who took Cheryl’s place as X Factor judge while she was ill, believes that Cheryl is very lucky if the pair are enjoying a relationship together.
