Secrets of a Call Girl Actor Billy Piper Finishes Filming New Series

That marks the end of the high class hooker then.

Billie Piper is hanging up her call girl boots as the next series to be shown on TV will be the last and Belle de Jour will be no more.

The former child pop star and Dr Who sidekick is perhaps pleased to be ending the show on a high, it’s been a real hit with Billie showing off rather alot of bare flesh whilst playing as Belle, real name Hannah Baxter.

Altered for televised entertainment, Hannah used an anonymous blog to record her encounters as a well paid London prostitute whilst attempting to juggle a professional and personal life on the side.

Billie confirmed recently that rumours circulating about a spin off, now the show is to end, are in fact true. She told The Sun that they were trying to create a movie of the show.

Whether that happens or not, we’re sure the Mum of 2 year old Winston will spend some time concentrating on growing their family – she’s said she’s one of four children and “I always thought I’d have a big family”.

Early days, perhaps, but will this working Mum take time out to film a new movie of Belle?

Guess we’ll have to watch and wait..

Voyage Of The Dawn Treader Is Top Of The US Box Office Pile

When it comes to reading about the latest episode in a series of kid’s fantasy films, just about everybody expects to see yet another story on the Deathly Hallows episode of the Harry Potter series but in this case we’re actually talking about Voyage of the Dawn Treader which is the latest in the series of Narnia films and was aired this weekend.

According to early figures, the film did manage to top the US box office charts and while the revenues it earned were less than from its predecessors at USD24.5m 20th Century Fox have said that it managed to raise a considerably more impressive USD105.5m globally.

It was perhaps due to the release of the latest Narnia film that Tourist which features Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie only managed to bring in USD17m from its opening weekend. Third place was animated Disney film Tangled which slipped from last week’s chart topping position.

Lovers of the CS Lewis franchise may well be flocking to the cinemas to watch the Voyage of the Dawn Treader but film lovers were largely disappointed by the latest release so it will take some effort to win them back for what is the third in the series of films.

The first film The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe made USD65.6m in its first weekend and the largely disappointing Prince Caspian managed USD55m highlighting a definite downward trend in opening weekend revenues. However, if this movie proves to be better than the last then maybe figures will start heading upwards again for the next one.

Russell Brand To Film Rentaghost Movie

Posted on 10. Dec, 2010 by .

Russell Brand has most definitely shaken off the shackles of being a stand up comedian and the whole Sachsgate debacle has been all but forgotten, at least by the movie watching general public. He has already starred in a number of hit Hollywood films including the blockbuster film Get Me To The Greek. It seems that his acting talents are being spotted by more than just his UK followers.

Rentaghost was a massively popular 1970s kid’s program that originally aired on the BBC and while it was initially believed that RDF had acquired the rights to the program in 2008, it is Warner Brothers that will be releasing the film version and it is being reported that a hunt for screenwriters is already under way.

The signing of Brand to play the role of Fred Mumford, an employment agency head who is also a ghost, has come as a surprise to a lot of people as it is definitely a twist away from major Hollywood hits like Forgetting Sarah Marshall. However, with Warner Brothers at the plate the film is likely to be a big hit.

The original Rentaghost series, which we certainly remember fondly, ran for nine series between 1976 and 1984 and starred Michael Staniforth, Molly Weir, and Sue Nicholls. It is believed that the film version will be similar in style to the Beetlejuice film of 1998 created by Tim Burton.

Leslie Nielsen, star of the Naked Gun films, has died aged 84 following complications caused by the illness pneumonia. The Airplane actor had spent 12 days in hospital in Fort Lauderdale with the illness and his nephew Doug told a Canadian radio station that he just fell asleep and passed away. He also said that Nielsen was one of the most caring and naturally funny people he had ever known.

The Hollywood star started his career in live television dramas in New York and starred in 150 of them before moving to a career in Hollywood. Initially he became well known as a serious actor before his off screen pranks came to the fore on the big screen too when he appeared in the spoof film Airplane. Airplane became a massive hit and showed the world that Leslie Nielsen was an excellent comedy actor as well as a serious actor.

In Airplane, Nielsen was responsible for delivering what were to become some of the most repeated and quoted lines in television. On telling a flight attendant that a sick traveller needed to get to hospital, she asked “what is it?” and Nielsen’s character replied “it’s a big building with patients, but that’s not important right now!”

The Naked Gun trilogy, Spy Hard, and roles in Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4 were among some of the many other hits that Nielsen enjoyed during his acting career.

Most Censored Film In 16 Years Finally Gets 18 Rating

Let’s face it if there were only one accolade in the world that would see swarms of people flooding to watch a film regardless of its reviews, the stars in it, or the apparent quality of the film content then being dubbed as the most heavily censored film in 16 years is probably it. People will flock in their masses to see the film that had to have four minutes and eleven seconds chopped out before the censors would let it pass.

The problem here, for most of the world anyway, is that the film is Serbian so not only might it not actually feature in too many UK cinemas or on the shelves of your typical Blockbuster but if you can’t be bothered with the hassle of subtitles then you might wish that the whole thing had been censored from beginning to end.

Plus, comments made by the team behind the film also kind of put you off wanting to watch it. After the board finally let it through the mummy net they said that there were a number of cuts that were needed to remove scenes that promoted the use of sexual violence. The producers said that such scenes were meant to symbolise the molestation by the Serbian government. We’re assuming they don’t mean in an entirely sexual and literal way with this one.

Emma Watson Tells Of Full On Deathly Hallows Topless Kiss

The majority of the nation have watched Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint grow up before our very eyes and the latest Harry Potter film may shock some of us.

While the previous Potter film was hardly lacking in on-screen kisses, Deathly Hallows Part I takes it a whole lot further as Hermione and Harry share some serious action. Apparently, the pair were only told of the fact that they would be largely naked the day before filming.

Watson is painted silver and although she appears to be topless during the scene, she is in fact wearing a strapless bra. She also had to kiss Rupert Grint during the filming, and she said that he told her she was full on.

The Deathly Hallows is screened over two parts, with the first part now in cinemas. Avid fans cued for several nights last week to ensure that they got in to see the premiere of the film in London and meet the cast as well as a list of UK celebrities. Oh, and the X Factor finalists were there too.

The Harry Potter series ends with the Deathly Hallows, which will put to bed the biggest film franchise of all time and will see the nation’s love affair with Harry, Hermione, and Ron put to bed as the cast come of age.

The second part of The Deathly Hallows is set in the future with the cast wearing prosthetics and relying on computer graphics to age them suitably.

Fans Queue Overnight For Deathly Hallows Premiere

Posted on 11. Nov, 2010 by .

Dedicated and, some might say, slightly insane fans queued overnight to ensure that they were among the first to see the first part of the final Harry Potter films. Braving some of the wildest winds and rain, fans camped out in sleeping bags and if you think that’s bad enough, it’s even worse when you learn that some of the avid waiters had travelled from as far as the USA and Japan to beat the time difference.

The film is basically a who’s who of British acting talent and as well as Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, fans will be expecting a star studded line up on the red carpet when the film airs tonight.

Unfortunately, the waiting didn’t go entirely without a hitch as one man indecently exposed himself at some of the young girls waiting in line to get tickets for the film. He was arrested by London police and taken away promptly by the police.

The Deathly Hallows, which will be shown in two parts, is the 7th and final film in the Harry Potter franchise; a franchise which has become the biggest grossing film franchise of all time.

Neither of the two parts of the film were shot in Hogwarts and were instead set in the big bad world and in the second part of the finale, the cast will be aged using computer graphics and prosthetics as it is set in the future.

No More Harry Potter Following Deathly Hallows

Many of us, young and old, have grown up with Harry, Hermione, and Ron on our screens and we’ve watched them grow not only in terms of their characters but also as actors and actresses. Having started out as unknown child actors they are among some of the most highly sought after Hollywood stars around and the premiere of Deathly Hallows tonight signals the beginning of the end for the highly popular series.

We’ve already seen the last of Hogwarts because this latest saga takes place outside of the school and in a world where anybody could be working for Voldemort.

This is the 6th of the Harry Potter films and the previous five made a combined total of GBP2.5bn in ticket sales. This makes it the most profitable film series ever released (that’s right, not even the Police Academy films made that much). This latest film has cost GBP150m to make and includes Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, John Hurt, Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, Julie Walters, Richard Griffiths, Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane.

The latest film is actually a two parter and both parts will be shown in full and glorious 3D. The premiere of the first part of the film is released tonight and in the 2nd part the cast play themselves in the future and it relies heavily on computer imaging and prosthetics.

Jackass 3D The Last Outing For Johnny Knoxville And Co?

Posted on 04. Nov, 2010 by .

Jackass 3D is the latest instalment of the Jackass franchise that enables viewers that are not of a certain disposition the opportunity to see the group’s ludicrous stunts in full 3D glory. There’s very little that’s surprising in the film as it is the same old Johnny Knoxville and the same kind of stunts that he and his crew of amateur daredevils have always performed. However, the filming and directing is impressive and not just because it’s in 3D.

Let’s be honest, if you’re not into humour that involves pee and poo then you really should be going to watch something else at the cinema. The trailers more than indicate what the film is about and if that’s not enough then the synopsis should be the icing on the cake. If you do love the show then it might be worth making the trip to your local cinema because if the press is to be believed then this could be the last Jackass outing, at least on the big screen. With that said, of course, the Jackass team have themselves stated they wouldn’t film any more only to release a new series and another film.

If you’re the kind of person that goes to watch a film without reading the synopsis, doing any research, or even looking at the billboard advertisements and you don’t like sick humour then you’re not going to enjoy Kickass 3D but if you live a bit if juvenile frat fun then you’ll find it entertaining if a little repetitive.

Next Batman Movie To Be Titled The Dark Knight Rises

Posted on 28. Oct, 2010 by .

Christopher Nolan has announced the title of his anxiously awaited third and final foray into the revitalised Batman franchise and will pick up where the story left off in the last film, the Dark Knight. The film is due for release in 2012 and rumours had suggested that Cat Woman would feature as several unknown actresses had been auditioned for a female role in the film. Nolan himself was giving little away regarding who would and who would not be in the film, in terms of baddies.

The end of the Dark Knight saw the caped crusader fleeing from Gotham’s police as they mistakenly believed that he had committed murder and the latest in the series will take off from that point.

When asked about who the main baddie would be Nolan would not be drawn into giving anything even remotely resembling a definitive answer. He rather slyly said that there would be many characters that we’ve already seen as well as some new ones – there’s nothing like playing your cards close to your chest but he did say that it would be a surprise intimating that it wouldn’t be the Riddler as rumoured and expected.

The Dark Knight Rises should be a major blockbuster of a film featuring Christian Bale as Batman and where the last Batman film had a lot of press because of the death of Heath Ledger, this one should have to rely more heavily on stellar plot and acting performances to grab the column inches and the hearts of fans.
